Beloved Local Doctor of Over 50 Years Voted 2019 Physician Citizen of the Year

BELOIT, WI.  — Dr. Kenneth Gold, MD, has been awarded a most prestigious award, 2019 Physician Citizen of the Year. It is with great honor that he is bestowed with this recognition by the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Medical Society.

This exemplary award is given to an individual who has displayed tremendous contributions to their community. “You were nominated because of your many extraordinary efforts, but primarily your tireless fight for patient rights and care. Doctor Gold, your countless hours of patient care, in the office, at their homes, and in nursing homes have impacted the Beloit Community with quality care and compassion. You have demonstrated true leadership with your role as a clinical professor of medicine with the UWSMPH and in the recruitment, onsite training, and mentoring of new physicians, always “paying it forward,” stated Clyde Chumbley, MD, Chief Executive Officer, Wisconsin Medical Society.

Dr. Gold received this award on Saturday, April 6 during the Society’s Inaugural Ceremony at the Society’s Annual Meeting in Madison, Wisconsin.

Doctor Gold has remained committed to his patients, their families, fellow medical professionals, and

the Beloit community at large for over 50 years, and continues to serve as an inspiration to many.
