Fitch Ratings Affirms Beloit Health System’s A Rating and Stable Outlook Citing Quality and Growth Strategies

Beloit Health System (BHS), a leading healthcare facility serving Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, announced that Fitch Ratings has affirmed its “A” Rating and Stable Outlook.

Fitch Ratings, a financial rating organization that evaluates the fiscal health of organizations, affirmed Beloit Health System’s Stable outlook at a time when financial rating organizations have issued a largely negative outlook on the healthcare industry.

Fitch Ratings based their valuation on the system's strong market position, highly aligned medical staff and an effective growth strategy that has focused on expansion in key service lines, high clinical quality and the development of key partnerships to provide specialty care locally.

“We are very pleased with this rating,” said Tim McKevett, President, and CEO of Beloit Health System. “Our focus on quality and our commitment to consistent strategic growth has enabled us to respond effectively to industry challenges while maintaining our strong market position.”

“This affirmation is a direct result of the Health System’s Physicians, Employees and Volunteers commitment to providing the best care to our community,” said McKevett.

Beloit Health System holds a dominant market share in its primary service area. In addition, the system has strong flexibility to manage operating costs. According to Fitch, the expectation is that the System will likely build cash and strengthen its leverage position to a level consistent with an even higher rating over the next two to three years.
